Tips for Making Sponge Cakes!

Tips for making a good sponge cake (pastry cake) are;
- If you want a soft sponge cake, whisk the egg whites and yolks separately .
- Beat the egg yolks with sugar until the sugar dissolves and becomes creamy .
- Add the liquid ingredients in the recipe after the sugar has completely melted.
- To prevent the sponge cake from getting moist, you should remove it from the mold immediately after cooking.
- Bake at least 1 day in advance for an easy-to-layer and tastier sponge cake.
- If you have made classic and starchy sponge cake, soak it in warm, sugar or jam water before adding the ingredients and cream.
- Make sure to sift the flour you will use for sponge cake and add it to the mixture.
- When we add flour while making sponge cake, mix it with a wooden spoon. The metal spoon prevents your cake from rising.
